Advice, research and reporting
Based on the unique characteristics of each object, tailored advice is provided on conservation, restoration and optimal storage conditions of a work of art or collection. Detailed recommendations are also given for safe packaging, transport and presentation, with special attention to the preservation and sustainability of the collection.
Depending on the needs of the object, various examinations can be conducted, such as analyses of chemical and physical properties, microscopic and UV images, or material determination. These investigations provide insight into the condition and composition of the object and help to determine the most suitable conservation and restoration methods.
Extensive documentation of the preliminary investigation, including detailed condition reports, damage analyses and inventories of the collection. All findings and proposed treatments are carefully recorded in a clear file, which serves as a guideline for the further conservation process.
